All of the kitchens are fully furnished, including a microwave, toaster, coffee pot (including filters), oven, stove, refrigerator, freezer and dish soap. The bathrooms are furnished with liquid hand soap, a small bar of shower soap and we get you started with 2 rolls of toilet tissue per bathroom. We supply the large liners for the outside trash can.
BRING ALL LINENS: pillows, blankets, sheets, bath towels and kitchen towels
Please bring paper towels and kitchen and bathroom trash bags, as well as spices, like salt and pepper.
Don’t forget your chairs, snorkels, fishing poles & minnow traps for the riverfront!
Lighter fluid, matches and charcoal if you will be grilling outside.
Firewood is available at our office.
Extra bags of ice and river shoes (old tennis shoes work great) come in handy.
Other items that might be useful to bring: binoculars, camera, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, beach towels, layout/folding chairs, ice chest, canopy, bike, coffee, iron/ironing board, board games, butterfly net and
insect repellent (we don't have many mosquitoes most of the time).
DVDs - some accommodations have a DVD player.
There are some small “mom and pop” stores in Leakey that are well stocked but you will probably want to pick up the majority of your groceries before you arrive. The last major grocery store you will pass on your way here is in Hondo. There will be an HEB on the left side of the Hwy 90; it’s about 45 minutes from your cabin.
If this is your first time to visit, please print off the directions for the trip. Our physical address will NOT show up correctly in your GPS. When you arrive, drop by the office to check-in and pickup your key.
Please let us know at least one day in advance if you will be arriving after 6pm. Our office closes at 6pm and you will not be able to get into your cabin if you arrive after 6pm.
Check-in: 4:00pm to 6pm
Check-out: 11:00 am
Your cell phone may not work here! AT&T and T-mobile get some service, but Sprint and Verizon do not. We have free WI-Fi at the office.
